Please Help Get Additional Behavioral Health Funding in the FY27 Budget!

June 9, 2026

NJAMHAA was successful in having eight budget resolutions - requests submitted by legislators for additions to Governor Sherrill’s proposed budget – put in at our request.

It will take just a minute to write your state Assemblymembers and Senators asking them to sign on to these budget resolutions:

Senate Majority Leader Ruiz: $43 million to restore the NJ Statewide Student Support Services (NJ4S) program

Asw. Pintor Marin: $43 million to restore the NJ4S program

Asw. Murphy: $30 million to the Department of Human Services for behavioral healthcare rates and contracts

Asw. Reynolds Jackson: $30 million for the New Jersey Statewide Initiative (NJSI) and Substance Abuse Prevention & Treatment Initiative (SAPTI) to support the substance use continuum of care

Senator Diegnan: $30 million for NJSI and SAPTI to support the substance use continuum of care

Senator Johnson: $16.7 million to increase Care Management Organizations' per child/per month rate to $1,200

Senator Zwicker: $3.2 million to increase the Children’s Partial Hospital rate to $115 per hour; and $3 million for School Based Youth Services Programs (SBYSPs) and other contracts within the School Linked Services budget line

Thank you for adding your voice to this important budget advocacy effort!
