Beasly Media Group recently interviewed Dr. Debra L. Wentz,
NJAMHAA’s President and CEO, on the results of a report released
by mental health advocacy group Inseperable, which showed that the State of New
Jersey has about a little more than half of the psychologists required to treat
New Jerseyans who need help.
"The longstanding difficulties in attracting and
keeping members of the workforce in behavioral health care, substance use, and
social services are about to become even more challenging," Dr Wentz was
quoted in the article. "But, people still need services and many more
individuals will need them in the future."
