Gov. Murphy Signs Crisis Professionals Day Joint Resolution into Law

May 28, 2024

On Monday, May 20th, the New Jersey Senate passed the Crisis Professionals Day Resolution. The Resolution, originally drafted and requested by NJAMHAA, was passed by the Assembly in April.

The Resolution recognizes the fourth Wednesday in May of each year as Crisis Professionals Day and requests that the Governor "annually issue a proclamation recognizing" the day and call "upon public officials and the citizens of this State to observe the day with appropriate activities and programs." NJAMHAA is thrilled to report that Governor Murphy signed this legislation on Wednesday May 22nd - this year's Crisis Professionals Day!

Many screening centers have been observing this day for several years - some for more than a decade now - with a variety of staff appreciation event

NJAMHAA extends its own grateful appreciation for the amazing work of all of New Jersey's crisis professionals!
